Florida DBPR Mold Assessor License
Issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation under Chapter 468, Part XVI of the Florida Statutes. License number is published on every signed report. Verify any Florida license at myfloridalicense.com.
Independent Assessor Status (FL § 468.8419)
BioGuard Miami performs no mold remediation, water-damage repair, HVAC service, or plumbing work, and accepts no referral fees from remediation contractors. This statutory separation guarantees that our findings are not influenced by downstream revenue.
AIHA-LAP Accredited Laboratory Partners
All laboratory samples are analyzed by laboratories holding American Industrial Hygiene Association Laboratory Accreditation Programs (AIHA-LAP) accreditation in Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP) and, where applicable, Industrial Hygiene Laboratory Accreditation Program (IHLAP).
IICRC S520 & S500 Trained
Field staff hold current Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification training in S520 (Mold Remediation) and S500 (Water Damage Restoration). Continuing-education hours documented annually.
ASHRAE 188 Compliant Practice
Legionella Water Management Program development follows ASHRAE Standard 188-2021 and ASHRAE Guideline 12-2023. Sampling protocols follow ISO 11731:2017 and CDC ELITE program lab partnerships.
